Voluntary & Community

I am passionate about giving something back to the community of Sheffield and South Yorkshire which is why, when my business was in a position to allow me to take on voluntary roles, I was eager to do so.

In 1995, I joined the Sheffield Training and Enterprise Council (TEC) as a Non-Executive Director and later took over as Chairman, a position I held until 2001.

I was appointed in 2000 as a Non-Executive Director for various health authorities – Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Yorkshire and finally NHS North of England. I continued with these positions until 2013 when I was Chair of the Department of Health’s Audit and Risk Committee’s Audit sub-committee for NHS North of England.

In addition to these roles, I was Chairman of the Governing Body of Ashdell School and Trustee of Ecclesall Church PCC.

I am currently Chairman of Japan Christian Link, Chairman of Sheffield’s Diocesan Board of Finance and a Trustee of the Sheffield Church Burgesses Trust.
